This team has an attendance requirement of 1 practice per week. This team will compete in 1 in-house, non-sanctioned competition and provide opportunity to obtain a USA Gymnastics membership to participate in additional competitions. This team is great for beginner level athletes and those learning foundational skills such as cartwheels, round-offs, and back handsprings and interested in taking their training to a competitive level.

T1 - Foundation Team

Ages 5-10

This team has an attendance requirement of 1 practice per week. This team will compete in 1 in-house, non-sanctioned competition and provide opportunity to obtain a USA Gymnastics membership to participate in additional competitions. This team is great for beginner level athletes and those learning foundational skills such as cartwheels, round-offs, and back handsprings and interested in taking their training to a competitive level.

This team has an attendance requirement of 2 practices per week. This team will compete in 4 local competitions plus State Championships for 5 total competitions. Best for athletes able to consistently perform 1–4 back handsprings and looking to progress their competitive strength in the events of Trampoline and Tumbling.

T2 - Competitive Development Team

Ages 7-10

This team has an attendance requirement of 2 practices per week. This team will compete in 4 local competitions plus State Championships for 5 total competitions. Best for athletes able to consistently perform 1–4 back handsprings and looking to progress their competitive strength in the events of Trampoline and Tumbling.

This team is best for athletes performing back somersault skills such as back tucks with the goal of advancing their competitive levels in the sports of Trampoline and Tumbling with sights set on competition at the USA Gymnastics Stars and Strips Championships.

T3 - Competitive Team

Ages 8-15

This team has an attendance requirement of 2-3 practices per week. The team will compete at local competitions, state championships, regional championships, plus an optional travel competition (up to 7 total competitions). This team is best for athletes performing back somersault skills such as back tucks with the goal of advancing their competitive levels in the sports of Trampoline and Tumbling with sights set on competition at the USA Gymnastics Stars and Strips Championships.

Best for athletes with advanced somersaulting and twisting skills including back pikes, back straights, whips, twisting, and multiple somersault skills, looking to progress in Tumbling and Trampoline to an advanced level with the goal of attending he USA Gymnastics Championships.

T4 - Advanced Competitive Team

Ages 9-18

This team has an attendance requirement of 3 practices per week. The team will compete in local competitions, state championships, regional championships, plus an optional travel competition (up to 7 total competitions). Best for athletes with advanced somersaulting and twisting skills including back pikes, back straights, whips, twisting, and multiple somersault skills, looking to progress in Tumbling and Trampoline to an advanced level with the goal of attending he USA Gymnastics Championships.

Meet our coaches!

In 1988, Megan won the Women's World Championship for Power Tumbling.  She was a member of the USA National Tumbling team for six years taking her to competitions in nine different countries.  She has been involved with USA Gymnastics Trampoline and Tumbling as an athlete representative, a national and international level judge, former member of the National Coaching Staff, and then as the Trampoline Program Committee chair for seventeen years.   Megan has coached at J&J's since 1983 and is currently the competitive team director. Through her lifelong passion for coaching trampoline and tumbling, Megan is dedicated to helping athletes build confidence, resilience, and the ability to overcome challenges, guiding them toward success in both sport and in life.
Coach Emily brings over 15 years of experience as a Tumbling & Trampoline athlete, including representing the United States on four National Teams at the World Championships and earning two World Championship silver medals. With 34 years of coaching experience, Coach Emily has dedicated her career to developing athletes at all levels. Driven by a lifelong passion for the sport, Coach Emily is committed to helping athletes discover their potential, build confidence through skill development, and experience the excitement of reaching new goals. “I love sharing the joy of this sport and helping every athlete find their spark while developing the skills, determination, and confidence to succeed both in and out of the gym.”
With over 14 years as an athlete, including time on the Tumbling and Trampoline team at J&J starting at age seven, Emily developed a strong foundation in the sport. She brings more than a decade of coaching experience, having worked as a recreational coach, team trampoline coach, and recreational gym manager. Currently, Emily serves as a Hot Shots Coach within the pre-team program. “I do this because I really love this sport, and I love getting to work with kids. The best feeling is when I can help an athlete overcome an obstacle. Coming in to work with these athletes is often the highlight of my day, and I hope they feel that their class is the highlight of their day!”
Coach Alissa brings over 15 years of experience as a Tumbling & Trampoline athlete, competing at both the national and international level. She began coaching recreational classes as a teenager and has served as a competitive team coach since 2007, with experience coaching athletes through all stages of development. In addition to coaching, Coach Alissa is also a certified Trampoline and Double Mini Trampoline Judge. “I love this sport! I hope to inspire and encourage our athletes to develop the mindset that they can do hard things, to grow in confidence through structured progressions of skills and technique, and to work hard & have fun doing it.”
